Ever gone on a hike and packed too much, or worse yet – TOO LITTLE?
Here at Rob’s Adventures and Tours we can help you understand what is needed and most importantly, when. When you come on an adventure with us, this is what you will need. (This is by no means a complete list, just a mere guide.)- Good walking shoes or boots will always make a hike more comfortable. The harder the boot or shoes sole, the less likely conditions under foot will effect you. A good boots with ankle support are indispensable.
- Always protect your self from the sun. I like Factor 40 and above clothing.
- Cotton is awful when wet, I love polyesters, they are waterproof, windproof, stretchy as well as durable.
- We recommend you start walking with at least 2l of water. Not start your day with 2l and have about 600ml left when we set off
- We cant stress this enough, we understand you would want to keep your phone or some recording device. This is fine, but leave wallets and jewelry at home. There are no extra points for bling on the mountain.
- You will need a warm top, a good fleece or wool jersey is good on hotter day, the weather can change quickly and dramatically. On cold winter days, layer up with the outer layer being windproof.
- A good positive can do mindset is a must.
